The Personal Data Protection Act
What Act No. 9 of 2022, as amended in 2025, requires of a Sri Lankan company, and the five decisions a board has to make before the obligations take effect. Delivered as a management briefing in four moves.

- The law. Personal data, controllers and processors, the seven obligations, the six lawful bases and the schedules.
- Your part in it. Accountability, the five shapes of evidence, and whether section 20 requires a data protection officer.
